Refunds and Returns
Because transporting art is delicate, I don’t offer returns or exchanges for change of mind on prints or original artworks.
If your order arrives damaged
I take a lot of care with printing and packaging. If something still goes wrong in transit:
Photograph the packaging before opening.
Photograph the damage to the artwork/print once opened.
Email me within 7 days of delivery with your order details and photos: info@laurenmaguire.com.au.
What I’ll do
Prints: I’ll replace your print with an identical one (same size and edition, if applicable).
Originals / small originals: If an original is damaged in transit, I’ll discuss options with you. Where repair isn’t possible, I’ll create a commission of similar size, style and value to replace it. (Originals are one-of-a-kind, so exact replication isn’t possible.)
Tip: Please keep all packaging until we’ve sorted the claim. Carriers often require it for assessment.
Lost or delayed parcels
If tracking shows lost in transit, I’ll work with the carrier to investigate. If confirmed lost, I’ll replace prints or discuss replacement/commission options for originals.
If you entered an incorrect or incomplete address, I can’t refund or replace items that can’t be delivered. If the parcel returns to me in good condition, I can resend it—additional postage applies.
Colour, texture & handmade variation
Colours can vary slightly from what you see on your screen—this isn’t a defect. Paints use natural pigments and can vary slightly in colour from batch to batch.
Originals are hand-made (often fingertip-painted) and may include natural surface textures - these are part of the work.
Custom works & commissions
Custom pieces and commissions are made especially for you and are not refundable. I’ll keep you updated during the process so you’re comfortable with the direction before final sealing/varnish.
Timeframes
Please contact me within 7 days of delivery about any transit damage. Claims outside this window may be declined by carriers.
Return shipping (when requested)
On the rare occasion I ask you to return a damaged item, I’ll provide a pre-paid label or reimburse reasonable return postage once assessed. Please pack the work securely in the original packaging where possible.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. You’re entitled to a remedy if a product is faulty, not as described, or doesn’t meet consumer guarantees. I’ll always act fairly and promptly.
