Created as separate works, they have always felt connected - two quiet presences sitting in conversation with each other. Agnes holds a softer, steadier energy, while Mack carries more weight and old-soul stillness. Together, they create a sense of relationship, contrast and recognition.
These works marked an important shift in my practice, where abstract surfaces began opening into more human forms. They are not portraits in the traditional sense, but presences - figures that seem to emerge slowly through texture, restraint and feeling.
While each piece can stand alone, something deeper happens when they sit beside each other.

These works were created on premium grade, gesso triple-primed, cotton duck canvas. Hand-stretched on quality pine frame and created using archival quality acrylic paints.
Both paintings are 90cm (w) x 120cm (h), approx 6.5kgs each - Framed in a sustainably grown American Ash timber frames.
